In addition to delivering their micro course, instructors are also asked to engage with the CMUQ community in another way. Historically this has been through the presentation of a public lecture to the community, but we are now including different alternatives such as micro faculty being guest lecturers in CMUQ classes, holding brown bag seminars with CMUQ faculty, hosting student workshops on careers within their field, etc.
Please suggest a couple different options of how you could engage with our CMUQ community (i.e., title/abstract of a lecture you could give; subject area you could connect with CMUQ faculty/students/clubs about). In several weeks, CMUQ will reach out to finalize these plans with you in advance of the semester starting.
In addition to delivering a guest lecture or connecting with our CMUQ community in some fashion, micro instructors are also requested to help CMUQ foster connections within our local Doha community in another way. We would like each micro instructor to deliver a 2 hour workshop that would be suitable for some of our external partners. Please suggest a few topics or ideas that you think might be appropriate for this format, and indicate any specific audiences you think it might appeal to.
